Of course, you could put in perspective the obvious "bang for the buck" factor... all the while knowing how much such a slick engine cover can cost ! If only such a hot item could be available at an affordable cost, you knew how it would distinguish your rod from the rest of the cars at the next event. And this is precisely what brought you here now ! At TOPSHAPES, we have created and hand crafted EXCLUSIVE ENGINE COVERS for many cars in the past, and now, we are proud to introduce "off the shelf' and READY TO PAINT smooth hand laminated fiberglass and/or composites units in a range of designs that we have witnessed to generate the most favorable reactions from owners...and spectators alike! To keep our prices reasonnable, we mold upon request the model you choose from our selection, instead of stocking large inventory and passing overhead expenses to you, the customer. OK NOW: HOW EXACTLY DOES THIS WORK ???? Our covers are precisely designed to fit engine "families" (Chevy small & big blocks, Ford 302 & 351W, Mopar small blocks) Since countless brands of intake manifolds are used, our engine covers adapt to your specific manifold "rise" by simply trimming the carburator air intake flange with basic tools. You are therefore able to decide how much of a "gap" you want to leave between the cover and surrounding objects, such as valve covers, alternator & AC components or mounting brackets, upper radiator hose, etc. The perimeter "skirt" can then be trimmed accordingly. We provide complete and clearly illustrated instructions with every cover, be it an "economy" unit, full base & top assembly, or "wide" full base assembly. PLEASE SEE TYPICAL INSTALLATION OVERVIEW ELSEWHERE ON OUR WEB SITE . Once those simple adjustements done with your own tools are completed, you are ready to put the finishing touch. Some customers are happy with just shining the smooth gel coat... but others want to "stretch the envelope" in their own way !!! Of course, you can simply paint to match your ride... or go wild and further customize your TOPSHAPES engine cover with splashy graphic designs, add polished aluminium or stainless trim of your own creation, cut intricate openings : the possibilities are virtually endless! Can you spell UNIQUE ? Your engine compartment can be colour and/or texture coordinated... You can even spare those expensive billet or chrome valve covers (and the all too frequent endless polishing sessions...) and rather finish your stockers in a matching colour /design that will impress even the most jaded of show judges at the next "Pro's pick " ! At TOPSHAPES, we also execute for you , upon request, show quality custom work, such as special finishes, air brush art, freehand pin striping, goldleaf lettering and emblems, exclusive moldings in polished or chromed aluminium, etc. etc. All custom work is done in our own shop.
